Imperfect Speech, Intentional Life 

Spending a lifetime managing a stutter is its own quiet discipline—one that rarely gets recognized for the resilience it builds. Through an REBT lens, the real work isn’t just fluency techniques, but loosening the grip of beliefs like “I must speak perfectly” or “I can’t tolerate being judged.” When those soften, the stutter loses some of its power to define the moment. And in a more existential sense, meaning isn’t found in finally “fixing” speech, but in choosing to show up anyway—again and again—turning each conversation into an act of intention rather than avoidance.
